SCC Soft Computer’s Blood Bank Product Receives 510(k) Clearance from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration

Clearwater, FL – SCC Soft Computer’s SoftDonor.web™ version 4.5.5.0 received 510(k) clearance from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

SoftDonor.web™ has enhanced features to increase productivity in the laboratory while maintaining compliance with safety regulations.

The 510(k) cleared SoftDonor.web™ enables the delivery of a web-based graphical user interface allowing SoftDonor.web™ to be accessed using your web browser, with business logic running on either LINUX or IBM AIX operating systems.  

New features, such as an enhanced display with vibrant icons, provide users ease of system navigation. Facilities can further modify the display to their specific preferences with the introduction of added customizations. The new dashboard features provide system options and sub-options in customizable tiles at the user’s fingertips. These advanced benefits were introduced to increase workflow efficiency and enhance the user experience.

SoftDonor.web™ also has an on-line Donor Health Questionnaire which allows a donor to complete their health questionnaire prior to their scheduled donation using their cell phone or home computer. Donors can create an account to register for blood donations and manage their account information (demographics, password, etc.).

SCC’s Blood Services Information Systems Suite® has multi-site capabilities and accurate tracking of blood products from a centralized inventory with dynamic features including outstanding management reports, daily trace, and audit trail, to ensure safe, secure, and accurate handling of blood products. This suite offers a wide range of exceptional features designed to streamline many of the routine, manual, and time-consuming tasks associated with blood bank and blood donor protocols.
