Webinars
The importance of highlighting the different functionalities of our software for our clients has always been a key reason why SCC holds a monthly series of webinars. Our internal team of experts collaborates and discusses what they believe our users would find interesting and most helpful. By curating various demonstrations of what our software is able to provide, we can connect with current users on their thoughts and show a broader ability of use. March 5th: SoftLab® Specimen Tracking (SNUG Webinar Series)
Starting off strong, our first webinar of March showed the best qualities of SoftLab’s Specimen Tracking. Through a 30-minute overview, our domain expert walked through important components such as how to track specimens within and between facilities, integration with SoftExpress® and SoftWebPlus®, and other additional answers to questions. This webinar was also P.A.C.E. eligible, so attended clients had the chance of earning a credit for them and their organizations.
March 19th: Microbiology Rules / Setup / Usage (SNUG Webinar Series)
Similar to the March 5th webinar, our overview of the Microbiology Rules/Setup/Usage functionalities was also P.A.C.E. eligible. An SCC domain expert was able to show different processes within this environment. This included numerous conditions like media, previous result, order, panel priority and actions that can be enacted in the system such as significant/critical, reflex test, result delta checking, and add/modify isolate. After reviewing these topics and much more, our clients left the webinar with better understanding of the software. Want to know what this may be for our clients? March 21st: LIS Professional Services (Product Showcase)
Separate from SCC’s SNUG Webinar series, our product showcases prove to be beneficial by allowing a more in-depth explanation of the services we offer. Our first one in March took place on 3/21 and enlightened our users on SCC’s LIS professional services. In doing so, clients were walked through an overview of LIS professional services, the benefits, and what to expect when obtaining and actioning LIS professional services. Knowing this information allows access to wider options and improved practice of products for daily use.
March 28th: SoftWebPlus® New Features (Product Showcase)
To end the month, we had a presenter guide clients through the new features of SCC’s SoftWebPlus® software.By reviewing the additions, users were able to understand the new functions such as the copy setups between environments, auto population of address fields, and managing orders by viewing improvement. Other features involved an addition to the employer data and alias name fields. By going through these features during a webinar, we are able to focus on a specific field at a time for better explanation and easier use of the functionalities.

Where in the world was SCC?
In addition to our webinar series, SCC also participated in multiple tradeshows across the world. This past month, we shared our software with various different laboratory and hospital staff, from Australia to the United States, proving how our software can create a better work environment for laboratory professionals.

Representatives from our Australia office had the opportunity to attend Pathology Update 2024!
With our participation, SCC was able to learn about some of the latest features within the Pathology industry. By staying up to date, our software can be improved and customized to the changes happening within the industry. SCC Soft Computer’s Pathology Information Systems Suite is the ultimate package to aid any pathologist with software needs and Pathology Update gave us the ability to represent all the benefits it can add to an organization’s system!
HIMSS 2024

SCC Soft Computer also attended HIMSS 2024 as we showcased our products at one of, if not, the biggest healthcare tradeshows.
Our executive team visited Orlando, Florida to meet with professionals ranging from CIOs, laboratory providers, government officials, innovators, market suppliers, and various other industry-influencers to understand the current changes within the healthcare space. We were grateful to participate and look forward to seeing everyone again in Las Vegas, Nevada in 2025!

We enjoyed sending our team to the Annual Clinical Genetics Meeting to celebrate the conference’s 30th anniversary.
SCC Soft Computer’s focus on developing software that supports innovation and excellence in the workplace has stayed consistent since 1979. Our Genetics Systems Suite took the spotlight at ACMG as we spoke with clients within the genetics field. To be able to showcase our products and connect with people who understand what they need most from the industry is an opportunity we are appreciative of.

Rounding out the month, SCC took part in the 2024 Ohio Collaborative Laboratory Conference!
Our representatives spoke with attendees to better understand some of the newest industry trends currently taking place. We were able to collaborate and connect with users on how our products would be able to shape their organization. The focus of our involvement was to showcase how our software is able to improve day to day work environment and support the hard work that goes into shaping the industry. We enjoyed our time at Ohio CLC 2024 while speaking with existing clients and prospects.

Spring has Sprung!
Spring is here at SCC Soft Computer! We welcome a bunch of new friends at our headquarters in Clearwater, Florida. From ducklings, to fuzzy caterpillars, to our resident cat – Moo Moo, our premise has been starting to see the exciting times of the new season! Keep an eye out for a future blog introducing our work cat who is always on the clock!
SCC’s Annual Picnic!
Along with some other internal events, our Social Activities Committee hosted our fun-filled annual picnic. SCC coworkers enjoyed the warm weather with food, an egg hunt, and other actives set up by our internal team!
