Hello March, goodbye February! February was a productive month, gearing us up for what is to come. From webinars, to attending the Florida Polytechnic Career and Internship Fair, and a Valentine’s Day celebration, SCC kept busy as we continue to have a successful start of 2024!
Webinars
SCC Soft Computer understands the importance of correspondence between clients and company to produce the best quality software. We continue to strive for the highest quality products that will help our users make the most of their workday. February consisted of four webinars, exploring the features while answering questions about the topics being discussed. Check out some of the topic highlights of this month’s webinars!
February 6th: MOM Monitoring and Troubleshooting (SNUG Webinar Series)
The first webinar of the month, as part of our SNUG Webinar Series, was an outline of our MOM Monitoring and Troubleshooting product. Users were introduced to our MOM system and issue discovery through MOM’s monitoring. Our domain expert also explained the ability to troubleshoot MOM for issues reported and the benefits of knowing how to use this software. We enjoyed answering the questions our users had about the software and were able to clarify any confusion about MOM’s monitoring and troubleshooting functions.
February 15th: Reference Lab Interface – New Features, Implementation Process, and Setup (Product Showcase)
This overview was a part of our Product Showcase series where we provide high-level information of the product software by a domain expert. During the session, a Q&A is held where our presenters answer questions from users. Our Reference Lab Interface webinar showcased the product’s recent new features within SoftLab® 4.5. This included EIS, MOM Console, and processing embedded PDFs using the software system. Users were also able to learn more about the client and vendor requirements for standard interface setup, reviewed the project workflow, and gained more understanding about the interface implementation process.
February 20th: SCC’s Professional Services – Validation Focus (SNUG Webinar Series)
SCC’s SNUG Webinar series placed a spotlight on the professional services with a validation focus we offer. Walking through the prerequisites for the validation start, we clarified what steps would need to be taken. Our presenter also informed clients about the importance of validation and reviews. As the final part of the webinar, signoffs and summaries were outlined with the reasoning as to why they are there and the need to have them for validation focus.
February 22nd: SoftGenomics® Product Overview (Product Showcase)
For our SoftGenomics Overview Product Showcase, clients had insight into workflow demonstrations of our cytogenetics and molecular genetics. A module overview and background about our SoftGenomics was showcased for the attendees. Lastly, our experts gave a review on the high-level setup file for a better understanding of its features within SoftGenomics 4.1.17.
SCC encourages our clients to go beyond the surface and further explore the potential of the software they use daily. We hope to see you at our future webinars.
Career Fairs!
We were honored to participate in the Florida Polytechnic Spring 2024 Career and Internship Fair. SCC always enjoys speaking with bright, innovative people and welcomes them to explore the career paths we offer. Our recruiters met with students and faculty to share SCC’s mission and roles within the healthcare industry. By attending, we shared the passion it takes to be a part of one of the leading laboratory information systems (LIS) providers and encourage curious minds to explore the opportunities we provide.

Internal Celebrations!
Our coworkers are one of the reasons working at SCC Soft Computer is great! For Valentine’s Day, staff brought in cookies to celebrate the lovely holiday. Our office support team also helped setup a chocolate fountain for our coworkers to enjoy alongside the other sweet treats. With variations of delicious delights, we made sure to try all of it!
February was filled with joy, love, and the anticipation of what next month will bring for SCC. We look forward to seeing you March for a recap on all of our next exciting endeavors!
